Back in the early 70’s. I entered the automobile business at a small Chevrolet dealership in So. Norwalk, CT. A auto finance company had developed a new premise for dealers. I was hired and trained to be an F&I (Finance & Insurance) man, in fact, the 2nd ever hired in CT. The F&I department has become the most important profit center for dealerships today. When I left the industry 7 years later; I had achieved the position as a Director of Leasing, Potamkin Cadillac, East Side Branch, NYC. Potamkin was considered the most successful dealership in the country at that time.
I then took a shot at "Wall Street". No great pedigree, didn't marry well, and no fraternal, collegiate or family contacts. My Rolodex bought and leased autos from me. I left with over a decade spent at the Senior Vice President Level.. One of the top 10 producers at my last 4 firms.
Simply stated, I have great expertise in developing systems for the purchase and sale of things. After all, in any negotiated transaction, a seller is selling the buyer, and conversely, a buyer is selling the seller. I am a highly motivated quick study and therefore, I work diligently. It is my belief that to achieve success, one has to be capable of taking and/or developing a plan of action and develop process. Then apply consistent honing to it. This will successfully lead to the consistent closing of business transactions in a timely manner.
I have been a proven self starter who has been structuring transactions, i.e., rain-maker, doing deals, private placements, motivating the unmotivated, marketing and making things happen for the past 30 + years. This has been achieved using a developed mastery of telemarketing, face to face, and "full court press" boardroom presentation. Always dealing from strength, never from weakness. After all, a Senior Vice President of a brokerage firm is nothing more than a proactive thinker who is an extremely talented, as well as, successful negotiator.
In addition, a great deal of time has been spent behind the scenes with a most highly acclaimed entrepreneur in a strategic "think tank" atmosphere. This will be discussed to some degree when we meet.
